SK chemicals opened the “SK Happiness Sharing Season,” delivering the warmth of sharing to local communities.
SK chemicals (CEO Jeon Kwang Hyun) announced on the 15th that they delivered ‘SK Happiness Kimchi’ to underprivileged families with local affiliates such as SK C&C, SK gas, and SK planet located in Seongnam.
This event marks the 16th successful run of SK’s annual charity kimchi donation campaign. At the “SK Happiness Sharing Kimchi-Making” event, 4,500 heads of kimchi made by social enterprises were purchased and donated to social welfare facilities in the city of Seongnam as an act of sharing.
This “SK Happiness Sharing Season” was held together with the ‘Hope Maker Smart Stay-at-home KIT Production.’ The Smart Stay-at-home KIT consists of food, nutritional supplements, and home workout equipment to maintain good health during social distancing to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The KITs were delivered to 157 children along with Christmas gifts and family dining gift certificates. Hope Maker is a social responsibility program launched by SK chemicals in 2012, sponsoring local children and youth on a one-to-one basis until they reach maturity.
SK chemicals Head of Corporate Culture Bae Hyeok said, “It was a difficult year for everyone due to COVID-19, but through our social contribution activities we will work with community members to overcome this challenging period for all of us.”
