The Fine chemistry laboratory of the chemical research institute developed a waste water treatment system [SKYCLEAM] to use the microbe culture technology.[SKYCLEAN] is a new concept of waste water treatment system after the research of more than three years, while Choi Gi-seung, senior researcher of the fine chemistry laboratory who led the development, observed that the microbes showing the most activity is right at aeration tank of the waste water treatment plant. Especially, senior researcher Choi Gi-seung considered to develop a microbial agent at the beginning, but determined that the late business starter having the similar product would have some limit in competing in the market. Thus he switched its direction of development into a strategy of making up for the problem of waste water treatment plant to use the existing microbial agent, and finally developed the entirely new concept of waste water treatment system. [SKYCLEAN] collects microbes and multiplies them to put again into the aeration tank, so that it does not need time necessary for microbial activity and there is no needs to store the microbial agent separately. Thus it is a product of completely compensating the disadvantages of the existing microbial agent .
[SKYCLEAN] is adopting the highly active fungi, thus it not only shows excellent waste water adaptation capability than the existing microbial agent, but prevents dropping in efficiency of the waste water treatment In addition, it has various advantages of enhancing the removal rate of COD/BOD of the discharging water Senior researcher Choi Gi-seung has conducted application tests for the textile and dyeing waste water to evaluate performance for a long period in Daegu area which is prevalent with toxic waste water and showed its excellent efficiency. Then it attracted high evaluation rate from the related industries, which had bottlenecks in the waste-water treatment. [SKYCLEAN] technology has been already patented in Korea and Australia and filed patent applications in U.S, Europe, Japan and Canada.In the future, SKYBIO Team plans to actively expand the market at home and abroad for sewage treatment plant of the apartment complex and integrated sewage water treatment plant as well as the waste water treatment plant of the industrial factory.
