J＇s Farm Korea has successfully developed an airtight container from SKYGREEN PETG which is an environment friendly, transparent material without environmental hormone elution, and launched domestic marketing under “I Pack” brand. With the request of test and analysis on an application as food container, the Korea Chemistry Research Institute determined from the test on environmental hormone elution and detection that I Pack is safe. In the trend that other food container manufacturers using the conventional PC and PP are making efforts to overcome shortcomings of environmental hormone elution and degree of clearness and odor of product, J’s Farm Korea developed the “I Pack”, an food storing airtight container with the SKYGREEN PETG resin, which SK chemicals developed second in the world. Adding no plasticizer, I Pack is easy to identify the food inside the glass-like clear container and always clean because of no coloring from food, and shows excellent impact strength to be safe when accidentally dropped, while creating no environmental hormone. A transparent resin which SK chemicals successfully commercialized from Jan. 2001, SKYGREEN PETG is an environment friendly, versatile, and highly functional plastic resin to potentially replace the existing transparent resin product, including PC, PMMA, PVC, and transparent ABS. SK chemicals has succeeded to commercialize SKYGREEN PETG with own technology accumulated during last 10 years, which only Eastman of U.S and SK chemicals own the production technology. According to J’s Farm Korea, they overcame opaque airtight cap as a shortcoming in existing airtight container, and produced a clear cap as the container, thereby applying to Kimchi refrigerator and others and solving all shortcomings of existing products as versatile product based on the superior chemical-proof and transparent characteristics of SKYGREEN PETG. J’s Farm Korea is anticipating it competitive export goods and actively expanding its export market.
