Dosage and administration

  • (Capsule) (Granule)

    • Adults: An initial dose of Minocycline 200 mg (titer) is administered, and then additional dose of Minocycline 100 mg (titer) is administered orally every 12 hours.

    • pediatric use 12 years of age and older: An initial dose of Minocycline 4 mg/kg (titer) is administered, and then additional dose of Minocycline 2 mg/kg (titer) is administered orally every 12 hours.
    Absorption of Minocycline is not significantly impaired by food or oil, or dairy products, etc., it should be administered 1 hour before meals or 2 hours after meals. However, capsules filled with granules are not severely damaged. Administer an additional 24-48 hours after symptoms subside. In streptococcal infection, administration is continued for at least 10 days to prevent the development of rheumatic fever or glomerulonephritis.

    The dose may be adjusted depending on the patient’s age and symptoms.
