Dosage and administration

    • * Injection method
      • ㆍ Injection: Inject slowly for at least 10 to 15 minutes, and inject for 15 to 30 minutes with a diluted solution of 50 to 100 mL or more as an infusion solution.
      • ㆍ For intramuscular injection, inject deeply.
    • 1. Adults
      0.5 to 3 g (titer) of a mixture of sodium ampicillin and sodium sulbactam is administered intravenously or intramuscularly 3 to 4 times daily. The maximum daily dose is 4 g (titer) of sulbactam.

    • 2. Newborn, infant, and pediatric use
      Administration dose is 60~150 mg/kg/day in divided in 3 to 4 doses In the case of newborns, especially premature infants, it is administered in two divided doses (at 12-hour intervals) for one week after birth.

    • 3. In patients with impairment of renal function (CrCl < 30mL/min), it should be administrated less frequently.

    • 4. Prophylaxis of postoperative infection in orthopaedic surgery : 1.5g to 3g by IV or IM routes at the time of induction of anesthesia. Administer 3 to 4 times more if necessary.
    • For intravenous or intramuscular injection, it is dissolved with distilled water for injection, normal saline solution for injection, or glucose injection solution and inject slowly over at least 3 minutes.
