SK chemicals(CEO, vice chairman, Chang-Geun Kim) announced on March 14 through a notice that it took over the management right of ISU UBcare by taking over 32.77% among 37.99% share of ISU UBcare held by ISU Chemicals.
SK chemicals strengthens the basis for healthcare business by taking over ISU UBcare, a representative enterprise in the medical information-oriented solution field, in order tO realize [Total Healthcare Company] which is a medium and long term vision in life-science business.
SK chemicals is going to positively support the growth of ISU UBcare by participating in the paid-in capital increase assigned to a third party as well as by purchasing the share held by ISU Chemicals.
ISU UBcare has very enthusiastically magnified its business territory such as medical equipment, U-healthcare, etc. based on its held medical network, as the domestically largest enterprise in the Electronic Medical Record(EMR) solution for hospitals that was incorporated into ISU group in 2004, being a frontrunner in the field of medical information-oriented solutions expecting 35.9 billion won of revenue and 1.65 billion won of net income in 2007.
SK chemicals expressed, “it has gotten to strengthen both abilities in medical equipment business and medical service business through this takeover,” and said, “it will achieve a corporate vision called Total Healthcare Company and will antedate its jump into a global life-science enterprise by positively supporting the growth of ISU UBcare.”
