● `Continued Community Support for Thirteen Years``SK Happiness Kimchi` Campaign with the Community
An end-of-the-year annual charity event was in full force in the Seongnam area thanks to SK and its family of affiliates.
SK chemicals announced on the 15th that their SK Happiness Kimchi donation campaign for underprivileged families was held at Seongnam City Hall with participation from local affiliates such as SK C&C, SK Gas, and SK Planet.
More than 20 people attended the event, including Chief Kwang-yeong Yu of Seongnam Welfare Support, Chairman Han Kyeong-sun of Seongnam Social Welfare Council, and officials representing various SK affiliates.
This event marks the 13th successful run of SK’s annual charity kimchi donation campaign. Kimchi to be donated this year totaled 3,520 heads of napa cabbage in 650 ten-kilogram boxes and will be delivered to 650 households with help from Seongnam City and Seongnam Social Welfare Council.
"Our annual SK Happiness Kimchi event is an extension of SK Group`s Happiness Management culture for achieving corporate social responsibility," said an SK official attending the event. "I hope our humble efforts can provide some warmth to our neighbors this winter."
Chairman Han Kyeong-sun of Seongnam Social Welfare Council stated, "We want to thank SK for their continued community support for thirteen years." He added, "We`ll do our part to spread that love and kindness to the underpriviliged in the Seongnam area."
Looking ahead, SK chemicals plans to hold their annual Happiness Sharing bazaar on the 22nd at Eco Lab of their Pangyo head office to assist the underprivileged in the area. Proceeds from the bazaar will be used to help low-income families in the Seongnam region with their heating bills and winter supplies.
