SK chemicals (CEO: Jeon Kwang-hyun) announced on the 15th that their Sustainability Report, issued in July, won a gold prize at the 2020 LACP Vision Awards.
LACP Vision Awards have been awarded since 2002 by the League of American Communications Professionals (LACP), a global PR and marketing research organization. The LACP Vision Awards are world-renowned, global awards that evaluate sustainability reports, annual reports, and social contribution reports of Fortune 500 companies, government agencies, and non-profit organizations. Every year, over 1,000 reports from 20 countries worldwide are submitted to the fierce competition.
In the contest, SK chemicals' 2020 Sustainability Report won the gold prize in the chemical sector. The report was named in the Asia-Pacific Region’s Top 80 (TOP 80) and received the highest score in 6 evaluation categories out of 8, including first impression, cover design, a message to stakeholders, description capabilities, financial reporting, creativity of message and access to information. In addition, it was simultaneously selected as one of South Korea's Top 20 Reports and received the Technical Achievement Award.
SK chemicals has been publishing sustainability reports yearly since 2010 to transparently disclose the company's commitment to sustainable management and performance to its stakeholders, including customers. In this report, the company elaborated its ESG management strategies and specified its focus areas and ESG goals for 2030. The company also organized the qualitative content and quantitative data with a focus on ESG issues to improve readability.
