On December 18th SK Chemical’s concert hall ‘Grium,’ located in Ecolab at its headquarters, hosted
, a year-end event that teamed employees with children of the community.
SK Chemical’s is an outlet for company executives and staff to give part of their salary to support local children and is the company’s main charitable program.
More than 180 people attended the year-end party including SK Chemical and subsidiary companies’ employees, as well as school children, parents, and community officials.
The program offered a variety of events including a video showing Hope Maker’s charitable efforts, making of year-end rice cake, a comedic performance, and more. In particular, the children’s ukulele performance, which had been prepared for months, was received especially well.
Seo Tae-min, a manager for the patent team, responded, “Watching the kids perform for us that which they worked so hard to prepare was truly touching. I plan to actively support these students so that they can realize their hopes and dreams.”
SK Chemical plans to strengthen its program to carry out more and more genuine charitable acts for society.
Regarding this a company representative said, “3 years after its founding 91% of employees are participating in Hope Maker. We plan to offer a greater variety of subsidiary programs for employees to help out on their own accord.”
