SK chemicals Life Science Business Group declared its commitment toward ethical management for 2017.
SK chemicals announced on the 16th of this month that the company`s plans for ethical management was clarified and training for its Fair Trade Compliance Program (FTCP) was conducted during an annual marketing conference attended by over 400 employees at the Human Resources Development Center in Daejeon.
SK chemicals President Man-hun Park reaffirmed the company`s commitment to ethical management and presented a compliance guideline for the marketing division.
The FTCP guideline was spelled out in detail, and situation response training was conducted using various case studies.
Man-hun Park stated, "Ethical management is fundamental to business, and our Fair Trade Compliance Program will be the minimum standard for its practice." He urged all employees to "comply with laws and regulations for sustainable growth as the company transitions into a high-level organization intent on achieving milestones."
SK chemicals has established a global ethical management program to continue improving employee awareness and practice.
Since introducing the FTCP in 2006, the company has obtained an `A` rating for the compliance program in 2009 and established a specialized compliance division in 2016. Further efforts are being made to spread the company`s practical ethical management culture through comprehensive management activities including the expansion of its subsidiaries.
During this year`s conference, SK chemicals conducted TED Talks, in which employees proposed ways to improve their work, and held communication sessions where each division`s leaders and members shared their business direction and goals for the year.
SK chemicals has been conducting annual marketing training sessions and conferences since 2001 to strengthen marketing capabilities of employees and quickly respond to rapidly-changing external factors.
