Utilization of heat generated from waste materials such as biomass for processing
Basic unit concept management through managing intensity indicators linked to sales
Plan to participate in K-RE100 (system aiming to use Korean renewable energy for all electricity) in the future

The Ulsan plant of SK chemicals uses raw water from the Nakdong River directly, and the Cheongju plant is using water supplied from the Water Resources Corporation (Daecheongho Lake), which supplies water to the metropolitan waterworks.

To reduce water resource consumption, SK chemicals continues to reduce the amount of wastewater generated by reusing some of the water discarded after use in the production process.

Through the waste recycling policy, SK chemicals tries to find suitable recycling companies so that waste can be recycled rather than being discarded.

Currently, the waste recycling rate is 77 to 84%, and SK chemicals is aiming for a recycling rate of 90% or more by increasing the waste recycling rate.
Plan to review third-party verification procedures such as ZWTL (Zero Waste to Landfill, UL Korea Certification) etc.
